What this gets you
- The pipeline records who was assigned, contacted, and replied without anyone updating it by hand.
- You can see who hasn’t been reached yet, so nobody is messaged twice.
- It switches on automatic stage rules, which only listen to the job’s linked sequences.
Before you start
- A job with a pipeline, and a sequence you want to track in it.
Steps
- Open the sequence in the sequence editor and find the Linked job card. It reads Progress from this Sequence will be tracked by the selected Job pipeline.
- Choose the job. To start a new job from here, type its title and create it. To remove the link later, use the clear button on the card.
- Or work from the job: open the job’s hiring workflow, go to Linked sequences, choose Link sequence, and pick the sequence.
- If the sequence is already linked to another job, Jobin warns you before moving it. Confirm to move the link.
- Run the sequence. As contacts are assigned, contacted, and reply, the job’s pipeline follows them.
Tips
- The link belongs to the whole job. It doesn’t choose what any single stage runs; that is set per stage, see How to start a sequence when a candidate reaches a stage.
- A sequence has one linked job at a time. A job can have several linked sequences.
- Automatic stage rules only react to outreach from the job’s linked sequences. With no linked sequence they never fire, and Jobin warns you in the stage editor.
Ideas to get more from it
- Link one outreach sequence per job so the pipeline is a live report of the campaign.
- Create the job right from the sequence’s Linked job card when you start outreach before the role is open.
- Pair it with a filter on Not in this pipeline to find contacts nobody has contacted for the job.
