# How waterfall enrichment works in Jobin

> Query several enrichment providers in the order you choose, so missing emails, phone numbers, and company data get filled in automatically.

Waterfall enrichment connects several enrichment providers and queries them in the order you set, so Jobin fills in missing contact and company data automatically. To set it up, open **Settings** > **Data enrichment** > **Waterfall enrichment**.

Waterfall Enrichment connects multiple enrichment providers and lets you prioritize them, so your candidate and company
data is enriched automatically.

Unlike the other integrations, it's built in to Jobin. It has no API key to create. Its card on the Integrations page opens a
**Provider Management** settings page instead.

## What this gets you

* You choose which providers Jobin uses, and in what order.
* You can bring your own provider accounts alongside Jobin's own data.
* Enrichment follows your order automatically, so you don't go provider by provider.

## What it does

* **Queries your providers in order.** The providers you enable form a waterfall. Jobin queries them in the order you set.

* **Lets you bring your own providers.** In addition to the Jobin waterfall you can also add into the waterfall your accounts with these providers:

Providers you can manually connect via API
-
Lusha
ContactOut
Datagma
Hunter
Wiza
Apollo

* **Gives you control.** Turn providers on or off, reorder them, change their API keys, or remove them.

Enrichment fills in missing details such as email addresses and phone numbers. See
[Enrich a contact](/api-reference/contacts/trigger-enrichment.md) for requesting it.

## Open Provider Management

Open [Jobin integrations](https://my.jobin.cloud/workgroups/integrations) and use the **Waterfall Enrichment** card
under **More integrations**. It opens **Provider Management**, where you configure your waterfall enrichment providers.

## Add a provider

**1. Paste the provider's website**

Under **Add Enrichment Provider**, paste the URL of the provider's landing page, for example `https://provider.com`.
Jobin detects and configures the provider for you.

**2. Add its API key**

A new provider is disabled until it has an API key. Click **Add API Key** on its card and save the key from your account with that provider.

**3. Enable it**

Turn the provider on with the **Enabled** switch. It joins the waterfall at the position you give it.

## Set the order

Under **Waterfall Order**, drag providers into the order you want them queried. Each card shows its position number.
Jobin Cloud is the default provider. It's always on, and you can't remove or disable it.

## Manage a provider

* **Change API Key** to replace the key.
* Use the **Enabled** switch to turn a provider off without removing it.
* Delete a provider to remove it from the waterfall.

## Troubleshooting

> **A provider is disabled and says API Key Required**
>
> The provider has no API key. Click **Add API Key** and save one.

> **Jobin didn't recognize the provider I pasted**
>
> Use the landing-page URL of one of the supported providers listed above.

> **I can't reorder Jobin Cloud**
>
> Jobin Cloud is the default provider and stays fixed. Reorder the other providers around it.

## Ideas to get more from it

* Put the provider you trust most first.
* Switch a provider off to pause it instead of removing it.
* For step-by-step setup, see [How to set up waterfall enrichment](/how-to/set-up-waterfall-enrichment.md).
