# How to share candidates with a client in the Client Portal

> Let your client review and approve candidates inside Jobin instead of emails and spreadsheets, with you in control of what they see.

To share candidates with a client, open **Jobs** > **Client portals**, open the job's control panel, invite the client, choose the stages they can see, and save.

## What this gets you

* Clients review and approve candidates in one place, instead of through scattered emails and spreadsheets.
* Approvals move candidates in your pipeline for you.
* You control which stages and which candidate details they see.

## Steps

1. Open **Jobs** > **Client portals** (or **More** > **Portals**) and open the job's **Client Portal Control Panel**.
2. Under **Add clients to give access**, choose **Invite New Client** by email, or pick a client already in your workgroup.
3. Choose which pipeline stages **Show in Client Portal**. A candidate in a stage that isn't shown leaves the client's view.
4. Set a **client approval** stage, and choose where approved and rejected candidates move. Leave it off if clients should only view candidates.
5. Set what clients can do, and what candidate information they can see. Start from a visibility preset.
6. Click **Save All Changes**, then move candidates into the visible stages.

## Tips

* Keep resumes, notes, and contact details hidden until you're ready to share them. To end an engagement, remove the client's access.

## Ideas to get more from it

* Share only the stages where you want feedback, and keep internal ones hidden.
* Set an approval stage, so approved and rejected candidates move on automatically.
* Start with a visibility preset and tighten it.
