# How to add an unsubscribe link and GDPR footer

> Respect opt-outs and keep your outreach compliant: turn on the one-click unsubscribe button and the automated GDPR email footer.

To add an unsubscribe link and GDPR footer to your emails, open the **GDPR Compliance Center** and turn on the **Unsubscribe button** and the **GDPR email footer**.

## What this gets you

* Recipients can opt out in one click.
* Unsubscribed contacts are left out of standard Contacts searches, so you don't contact them by mistake.
* An automated footer on outbound emails is added for you.

## Steps

1. Open **More** > **Workspace** > **GDPR**.
2. Turn on the **Unsubscribe button** for one-click unsubscribe on all outbound emails.
3. Turn on the **GDPR email footer** and check the preview.
4. Review the rest of your compliance status: interest logging, purpose tags, and data retention.

## Tips

* Unsubscribed contacts are excluded from standard Contacts searches by default. These tools help you meet your obligations and are not legal advice.
