# How to schedule a sequence to start later

> Send at the right moment: start a sequence after a delay or at a chosen date and time instead of immediately.

To schedule a sequence to start later, choose a delay or a specific date and time when you assign contacts to the sequence, instead of starting right away.

## What this gets you

* Outreach starts at the best moment, for example at the start of a work week.
* You can prepare everything now and let Jobin start it later.

## Steps

1. Select your contacts and start the sequence launch.
2. Choose to start the sequence later: after a delay, or at a specific launch date and time.
3. Confirm the launch. Jobin creates the sequence operations with the intended start time.
4. Follow them in **Op. Queue** until they run.

## Tips

* Scheduling works for contacts, AI Search results, and social profiles.
