# How to move candidates through a hiring pipeline

> Keep a visual, always-current picture of every candidate's progress: drag cards between stages and mark hires.

To move candidates through a hiring pipeline, open the job's pipeline board and drag the candidate's card into the next stage. Drag a hire into **Accepted**.

## What this gets you

* You see every candidate's progress at a glance.
* Moving a card keeps the pipeline accurate for you, your team, and your client.
* You can review a profile without leaving the board.

## Steps

1. Open **Jobs** and open the job's pipeline.
2. Drag the candidate's card into another stage.
3. To mark a hire, drag the card into **Accepted**.
4. To move many at once, select several cards and use the bulk actions.
5. You can also change a candidate's stage or substage from the **Job Applications** tab on their profile.

## Tips

* Select a card to open the full contact profile beside the board, and add a short shared note to the card for reminders.
