# How to import contacts from your social network

> Build your candidate database from the networks you already have: your connections, search results, groups, events, and posts.

To import contacts from your social network, open **More** > **Sourcing**, choose the social network import, pick what to import, and follow the steps. The Jobin browser extension handles the import.

## What this gets you

* You turn your existing network into CRM contacts without copying profiles by hand.
* You can import in bulk: your connections, search results, group members, event attendees, post participants, and companies.
* Imports run gradually in the background while you keep working.

## Before you start

* Install the Jobin browser extension and make sure it's active, with your social account connected.

## Steps

1. Open **More** > **Sourcing** and choose the social network import.
2. Choose what to import: your 1st connections, a single profile, search results in bulk, group members, event attendees, the people who reacted or commented on a post, or companies.
3. For a post, paste its link and choose **Reactions** or **Comments**.
4. Start the import. Imports run gradually in the background.
5. Follow progress in the **Operations monitor**, then review the new contacts in **Contacts**.

## Ideas to get more from it

* Import the people attending an industry event or group for a focused list.
* Import people who engaged with a relevant post to reach an already-interested audience.
* Tag each import by its source, so you can find each batch later.
