# How to find email addresses and phone numbers for contacts

> Find missing emails and phone numbers so you can reach candidates on the right channel, for a selection or automatically inside a sequence.

To find email addresses and phone numbers for contacts, select them in **Contacts**, open the bulk actions, and choose **Find and enrich** > **Enrich email / phone**.

## What this gets you

* You can reach candidates on the right channel, because missing emails and phone numbers are filled in.
* You only spend credits on people you plan to contact.
* It runs in the background, so you keep working.

## Steps

1. Open **Contacts** and filter to the people you actually plan to contact.
2. Select the contacts.
3. Open the bulk actions and, under **Find and enrich**, choose **Enrich email / phone**.
4. Choose what to find and start the enrichment.
5. Keep working. Enrichment runs in the background, and a progress indicator shows on each profile.
6. Check the result. If nothing more was found, the profile says so.

## Tips

* To enrich a single contact, request enrichment from their profile.
* Enrichment uses credits. See [How to check your credit usage](/how-to/check-credit-usage.md).
* To enrich as part of outreach, add an enrichment step to a sequence. See [How to enrich contacts inside a sequence](/how-to/enrich-contacts-inside-a-sequence.md).

## Ideas to get more from it

* Enrich inside a [sequence](/how-to/enrich-contacts-inside-a-sequence.md), and follow it with a condition for contacts it can't enrich.
* Choose your workspace's preferred enrichment method once, so the whole team gets the same default.
* Connect your own providers with [waterfall enrichment](/how-to/set-up-waterfall-enrichment.md) for wider coverage.
