# How to find contacts who replied to a sequence

> Follow up quickly with the people who answered: build a list of everyone who replied to a sequence, by reply type or step.

To find contacts who replied to a sequence, filter Contacts by that sequence and choose the **Replied** status, or select the replies count in the sequence report to open those contacts.

## What this gets you

* You follow up quickly with the people who engaged.
* You can split replies by type, such as interested, contact later, or out of office.
* You can re-engage the people who didn't answer.

## Steps

1. Open **Contacts** and open the outreach sequence filter.
2. Select the sequence, and its stages if you want a particular step.
3. Choose the status **Replied**, or filter by a reply type such as interested, contact later, or out of office.
4. Combine it with other filters, such as role or location.
5. Or open the sequence's report and select the replies count to open exactly those contacts, with the filters already applied.

## Ideas to get more from it

* Build a list of positive replies, then add a task or a follow-up sequence for them.
* Filter for no response at a given step, and send a different message.
* Combine the reply filter with role or location to prioritize.
