# How to create an outreach sequence

> Automate multichannel outreach so follow-ups happen without you remembering them: build a sequence, set senders, and link it to a job.

To create an outreach sequence, open **Sequences**, click **Add sequence**, choose **Blank sequence**, add at least two outreach actions, set your senders, and resolve any incomplete steps until it shows **Ready to start**.

> New to Jobin? Follow the guided tutorial, [Create an outreach sequence](/first-sequence.md), for a step-by-step walkthrough with a video.

## What this gets you

* Follow-ups happen automatically across email, social, and SMS, so no one falls through the cracks.
* One sequence can reach a whole group of contacts.
* Linked to a job, it tracks who was assigned, contacted, and replied.

## Steps

1. Open **Sequences** in the sidebar and click **Add sequence**.
2. Choose **Blank sequence** (or a template) to start a draft with no contacts enrolled. Nothing is sent.
3. Click the **(+)** below the prospects card and choose your first action from **Outreach**.
4. Click the **(+)** at the end of the sequence and add a second action. Jobin adds a **Wait** between outreach actions for you.
5. Open **Senders** > **Manage senders** and verify a sender for each channel your sequence uses. If none is connected, choose **Connect a sender**.
6. Select a job in **Linked job** (expand **Sequence settings** if needed), so contacts are tracked in that job.
7. Open each action marked **Incomplete**, finish its settings (for example, set the Wait duration), and save.
8. Click **Fix issues** to highlight anything still missing, until the sequence shows **Ready to start**.

## Tips

* Prefer to start from a goal? See [How to create a sequence with AI](/how-to/create-a-sequence-with-ai.md).

## Ideas to get more from it

* Start with two outreach actions and a wait, then refine from your results.
* Start from a template when one exists for your use case.
* Add [enrichment and conditions](/how-to/enrich-contacts-inside-a-sequence.md) so the sequence adapts to each contact.
