# How to connect a social account for outreach

> Run outreach from your social account: connect it once through the browser extension and use it in sequences.

To connect a social account for outreach, make sure the Jobin browser extension is active, sign in to the account on the social network, and return to Jobin while it finishes connecting.

## What this gets you

* You can run social outreach, such as invitations and messages, from your own account.
* Jobin shows what the account can do, so you avoid actions it can't perform.

## Steps

1. Open **More** > **Workspace** > **Throttle dashboard**.
2. Choose to connect a social account.
3. Make sure the Jobin browser extension is active.
4. Open the social network and sign in to the account you want.
5. Return to Jobin while it finishes connecting the account.
6. If an additional identity shows **Not enabled in this workgroup**, ask an owner or admin to choose **Enable** using an available prepaid social-only seat. This action appears only while both that identity and its owner's different primary identity have online extensions; offline and legacy sessions do not show it.

## Tips

* If the account connected in your browser differs from your current setup, Jobin helps you choose how to use it: make it your default, keep your previous default, or claim an account assigned to another user.
* **Add-on plan purchased** means the licence is assigned to that identity. Disconnecting does not release it. Owners and admins can use **Remove licence** in the account's three-dot menu, including for shared accounts, to make the prepaid seat available again. Deleting the connected account also releases its licences automatically.

## Ideas to get more from it

* Connect every account your team will use, then choose the right sender in each sequence.
* Check the account type warnings before you build a sequence around it.
