# How to run a Boolean search on other sites

> Run the same Boolean search across other sites from one place, with no login or extension, and save searches to reuse.

To run a Boolean search on other sites, open **More** > **Sourcing** and choose **X-Ray search** or **Sites search**, then enter your Boolean string.

## What this gets you

* You run your Boolean string on other sites without retyping it or switching tools.
* X-Ray search needs no login or extension.
* Saved searches build a reusable library for each kind of role.

## Steps

1. Open **More** > **Sourcing**.
2. Choose **X-Ray search** to search for people on sites of your choice, or **Sites search** to send your Boolean string to a site's own search.
3. Choose the website, and the search engine for X-Ray search.
4. Enter your keywords or Boolean string. It transfers into the query automatically.
5. For X-Ray search, add advanced operators if you need them, such as title, URL, or text matches, and proximity search.
6. For Sites search, optionally use the **Role Title**, **Company**, **Skills**, and **Locations** filters.
7. Save the search under a name so you can load it later.

## Tips

* X-Ray search needs no login or extension.

## Ideas to get more from it

* Keep a saved search for each role family, and load it when a new job appears.
* Use proximity operators to catch phrases that sit near each other in a profile.
* Use Sites search when you want the site's own filters, and X-Ray when you want a broader sweep.
