# Create and set up a job

> Your second step: build a job with AI and tailor its hiring workflow with your own stages.

A job is where you track candidates through your hiring process. In this step you create a job from a job description and then
customize its hiring workflow, the stages a candidate moves through.

## What you'll do

**1. Click Create job**

Open **Jobs** in the sidebar and click **Create job** to open the job builder.

**2. Autocompile your job with AI**

Paste your job description and generate the details. AI saves your job and opens the next step automatically.

**3. Save your new job**

If you're still on the job's details, choose **Next** to save the job and continue to workflow setup.

**4. Open Workflow**

Choose **Workflow** at the top of the job builder to set up your hiring stages.

**5. Add a hiring stage**

Click **Add stage** below the stage list.

**6. Name your stage**

Type a name for the new stage, such as *Technical interview*, then choose **Add** to open its settings.

**7. Save the stage**

Set the stage's name, colour, and details, then click **Save stage**.

**8. Move your stage**

Drag the stage's handle above another stage to reorder it. With a keyboard, press **Space**, use the arrow keys, then press **Space** again.

**9. Finish your workflow**

Your stage order is saved. Click **Save and close** to finish.

## What you'll have afterwards

* A job built from your job description.
* A hiring workflow with a stage of your own, in the order you chose.

## Tips

* Paste your job description into the builder and let AI generate the details for you.
* Name stages after the real steps in your process, such as *Technical interview*, so a candidate's progress is easy to read.
