# Contact profiles

> Review a candidate's details, notes, job applications, outreach, and activity on one contact profile.

A contact profile brings everything about one person into a single place. Open it by double-clicking a contact in the list, or from the details sidebar.
Jobin remembers the profile tab and sections you used last, so you pick up where you left off.

## Recommended workflow

1. **Open the profile** by double-clicking the contact. Jobin reopens it on the section you used last.
2. **Check the header.** Confirm the main emails and phone numbers, and correct them in place.
3. **Read the Activity timeline** to see what has already happened and what is scheduled.
4. **Check Job Applications** to see which jobs and stages the candidate is in.
5. **Read the notes,** and add one. Decide whether it stays internal or is shared with the client.
6. **Decide the next step.** Add a task, assign a sequence from **Outreach Sequences**, or change the stage.
7. **Fill the gaps.** Enrich missing details, and set custom fields.

## Header

The profile header holds the quick actions.

* **Edit main contact details.** Update work and personal email addresses and mobile and telephone numbers right in the header. Press **Enter** to save or **Escape** to cancel, and copy any detail to your clipboard.
* **Add a task.** Create a follow-up task from the header. It's linked to the contact automatically. See [Tasks and task queues](/tasks.md).
* **Enrich.** Request missing email and phone details. See [Contact enrichment](/contact-enrichment.md).

When a contact has unfinished tasks, they appear as soon as you open the profile.

## Main sections

* **Custom Fields.** The custom fields assigned to this contact. See [Tags and custom fields](/tags-and-custom-fields.md).
* **More Profiling.** Additional profile information, including job-seeking status.
* **Communication.** Messages and conversations with the contact.
* **Job Applications.** The jobs, pipelines, stages, and substages connected to the contact.
* **Outreach Sequences.** The contact's current automation.
* **Activity.** A timeline of everything that happened.

### Job Applications

Review active and archived applications, open the job from its title or company logo, and see the current stage and substage. You can
change the stage or substage from the application, and see when and by whom the candidate was assigned.

### Outreach Sequences and Activity

Assign the contact to a sequence from here, and choose whether it starts at the beginning or at a specific stage. You can review upcoming
email, social, SMS, and automation actions with their details, status, and scheduled time. Eligible actions can be run, rescheduled, edited,
paused, resumed, retried, or cancelled without opening the [Operations monitor](/operations-monitor.md).

## Notes

Add notes to a contact and give each one a type. Each note is either **internal** or **shared with clients** through the
[Client Portal](/client-portal.md), and you can switch it back to internal at any time. Notes keep the order of their original creation date,
and you can [search contacts by recruiter notes](/contacts.md).
