# How to connect Outlook email and calendar to Jobin

> Send sequence emails from your own Microsoft mailbox and see your Outlook calendar in Jobin, with one connection for both or for email only.

To connect Outlook email and calendar to Jobin, open the **Integrations** page, click **Connect Microsoft**, choose **Email and calendar** (or **Email only**), and approve access.

Connect Microsoft to bring your Outlook calendar and your email into Jobin. One Microsoft consent covers both, or you can
connect email only.

## What this gets you

* Your sequence emails go out from your own mailbox, and a sequence that uses email has a sender.
* Your Outlook calendar sits beside your tasks, and you can schedule meetings with your availability checked.
* One approval covers both, or you can connect email only.

## What it does

Microsoft can cover **email**, **calendar**, or both.

### Email

* **Provides an email sender for your sequences.** A sequence that uses email needs a connected email sender, and Jobin
warns you with **Missing email sender** when there isn't one.

### Calendar

* **Your Outlook calendar events appear in Jobin.** They show alongside your Jobin tasks and calls, labelled
**Outlook Calendar** so you can tell where each one came from.
* **You can link calendar events to contacts.**
* **Private events stay private.** Events you mark as private in Outlook aren't shown to your workgroup.
* **Jobin keeps events up to date.** Calendar accounts show when they last synced, and you can sync on demand with **Sync now**.

Synced events are edited in Outlook, and you can't delete them from Jobin.

## Before you begin

* A Jobin account and a Microsoft account with a mailbox or calendar.
* Permission to approve the access Jobin asks for on that Microsoft account.

## Connect your account

**1. Open Integrations**

Open [Jobin integrations](https://my.jobin.cloud/workgroups/integrations) and stay on the **All Integrations** tab.

**2. Choose what to connect**

Find **Microsoft** under **Workspace connections**, click **Connect Microsoft**, then choose:

* **Email and calendar**: one consent covers both.
* **Email only**: connect the mailbox without the calendar.

**3. Approve access**

Sign in with Microsoft and approve the access Jobin asks for.

**4. Check the result**

The account appears under **Microsoft** with **Email** and/or **Calendar** chips and a **Connected** status.

To connect another Microsoft account, click **Add account**.

### Legacy email accounts

An older email connection shows as **Legacy email**. Click **Reconnect** on it to upgrade it to the current connection.

## After you connect

Open the account's **⋯** menu to **Sync now** (calendar accounts), **Reconnect**, **Share with this workgroup**, or
**Disconnect**. See [Connected accounts](/integrations-accounts.md) for what each does, what the statuses mean, and how sharing works.

## Troubleshooting

> **A sequence says Missing email sender**
>
> Connect a Microsoft account with email, then check the sequence's senders.

> **The account says Reconnect needed**
>
> Microsoft access expired. If you own the account, click **Reconnect** and sign in again.

> **I only connected email and see no calendar events**
>
> That's expected. Reconnect with **Email and calendar** to add the calendar.

> **Events look out of date**
>
> Open the account's **⋯** menu and choose **Sync now**. This appears for accounts that cover calendar.

## Ideas to get more from it

* Connect email only if you don't want your calendar in Jobin.
* If a sequence warns **Missing email sender**, connecting a Microsoft account with email fixes it.
