# How to connect Claude to Jobin

> Connect Claude to Jobin as a custom connector so you can search contacts, review candidates, and run outreach by chatting with Claude.

To connect Claude to Jobin, go to **Claude Settings** > **Connectors**, add a custom connector named `Jobin.cloud` with the URL `https://mcp.jobin.cloud/mcp`, and sign in with your Jobin.cloud credentials.

## What you can do once connected

Your assistant works with your Jobin data in plain language, so you don't switch between tools. For example, you can ask it to:

* **Find and review contacts** by role, location, tag, sequence, or tenure, and read their profiles, notes, and activity.
* **Prepare outreach** by reading a contact's timeline and drafting personalized ideas.
* **Keep records current** by creating contacts, adding tags and notes, and requesting enrichment, with your approval.
* **Work with sequences and pipelines** by finding sequences, adding contacts, moving them between stages, and reviewing performance.
* **Manage follow-ups** by reviewing tasks and creating new ones.

Your connection's permissions decide which actions are available. See the [Jobin MCP overview](/jobin-mcp.md) and the [capabilities reference](/mcp-reference.md).

## Before you begin

* An active **Jobin.cloud** account.
* A Claude plan that supports custom connectors.
* The Jobin MCP connection URL:

```text theme={null}
https://mcp.jobin.cloud/mcp
```

> [!NOTE]
>
> For Team or Enterprise plans, an organization admin must add the connector first before individual team
> members can sign in.

## Set up the connection

**1. Open Connectors**

Navigate to **Claude Settings** > **Connectors**.

**2. Add a custom connector**

Click **Add connector** (or *Add custom connector*).

**3. Name it and add the URL**

Name it `Jobin.cloud` and paste the connection URL `https://mcp.jobin.cloud/mcp`.

**4. Add and connect**

Click **Add**, then select **Connect**.

**5. Sign in**

Sign in with your Jobin.cloud credentials.

**6. Enable it in your chat**

When you start a new conversation, make sure Jobin.cloud is enabled in the chat sidebar menu.

## Check the connection

Ask Claude:

> Check my Jobin.cloud connection.

Then try a search:

> Find contacts named Sarah in my Jobin workspace.

Your connection's permissions determine which actions are available. Read access lets Claude retrieve information;
write access lets it carry out changes with your approval. Ask it to check the current connection permissions
before your first action.

## Using Claude Code in a terminal

Claude Code connects with a command instead of the settings screen:

```bash theme={null}
claude mcp add --transport http jobin https://mcp.jobin.cloud/mcp
```

Then start authentication by running `/mcp` inside Claude Code.

For agents or server-side clients that cannot complete a browser sign-in, see
[Connect with an MCP token](/connect-mcp-token.md).

## Troubleshooting

> **I can't add a custom connector**
>
> On Team or Enterprise plans, an organization admin must add the connector first. Ask them to add it under
> Connectors, then sign in yourself.

> **Claude is missing a Jobin tool or field**
>
> Refreshing tools and signing in again are different things. Follow the [refresh guidance](/jobin-mcp.md#refresh-tools-in-chatgpt-or-another-mcp-client) to confirm what Jobin supports
> and refresh the connection only if needed.

> **Sign-in is failing or looping**
>
> Check that the connector is enabled and its credentials are valid. Use Claude's sign-in or reauthorization flow for
> expired credentials or missing scopes.

> **Searches return the wrong data or nothing**
>
> Jobin MCP works in one workgroup at a time. Ask: *"List my accessible workgroups and tell me which one is active."*
> See [Switch workgroups](/jobin-mcp.md#switch-workgroups).
