# Browser extension

> Import profiles and companies from your social network into Jobin in one click, automatically while you browse, or in bulk, and update tags, notes, and custom fields from the page you're on.

The Jobin browser extension brings your social network into your recruiting CRM. Open a profile, a search, a group, an event, or a
post, and import the people you need into [Contacts](https://docs.jobin.cloud/contacts.md) with their full profile, without copying anything by hand.

[Install the Jobin extension from the Chrome Web Store](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/hcdjjibhifjclfoblokahaacifcjpgfl), then sign in with your Jobin account.

## Recommended workflow

1. **Install and sign in.** Pin the extension so it's one click away.
2. **Choose where imports go.** In the popup, pick the job pipeline, tags, and a note for the people you import, so each batch is easy to find.
3. **Import the way that fits.** One profile, every profile you view, or a whole list in bulk.
4. **Follow bulk imports.** Large imports run in the background. Watch them in the [Operations monitor](https://docs.jobin.cloud/operations-monitor.md).
5. **Enrich and reach out.** Find missing emails and phone numbers with [contact enrichment](https://docs.jobin.cloud/contact-enrichment.md), then add the contacts to a [sequence](https://docs.jobin.cloud/sequences.md).

## Import one profile

Open a profile and choose **Import** in the extension. Jobin saves the complete profile: contact details, summary, skills, experience,
education, and the connection degree. Add a note, tags, or a job pipeline at the same time.

If the person is already in Jobin, the extension recognizes them, shows their notes, tags, pipelines, and custom fields, and updates the
record instead of creating a duplicate.

## Import automatically while you browse

Turn on **Auto Import**, and every profile you view is imported, with no click needed. Viewing a profile again updates it, and Jobin merges
the new data into the existing contact, so you end up with fresher records rather than duplicates.

## Import in bulk

Open the page with the people you want, then choose **Start Import**. You can stop an import at any time.

| **Your 1st connections** | Your whole network, added gradually to your workgroup. |
| **Search results** | Every profile in a people search, page by page. |
| **Premium sales and recruiter searches** | Results from your network's premium sales and recruiter search tools, plus saved lead lists and recruiter projects. |
| **Group members** | The members of a group you belong to. |
| **Event attendees** | The attendees of an event you are registered for. |
| **Post engagement** | The people who reacted to or commented on a post. Paste the post's link. |
| **Newsletter subscribers** | The subscribers of a newsletter you own. |
| **Companies** | One company page, or every company in a company search. |
| **Company employees** | The people who work at a company you import. |

> You can only import from groups, events, and newsletters you have access to: you must be a group member, a registered attendee, or the
> newsletter's owner.

Jobin can skip profiles that are already in your database, and merges any it imports again into the existing contact. See

## Update records from the extension

While you review a contact, the extension lets you work on their Jobin record without switching tabs:

* **Notes and tags.** Read earlier notes, add a new note, and add tags.
* **Job pipelines.** Assign the contact to a job's pipeline.
* **Custom fields.** See the fields already set, assign existing workspace fields, create a new reusable field, and edit values inline.
  Free-text, number, date, list, and range fields are supported. See [Tags and custom fields](https://docs.jobin.cloud/tags-and-custom-fields.md).
* **Companies.** Update a company and see the jobs linked to it.
